An independent commercial/industrial photographer, Christopher Blythe has been providing professional service to Business, Industry and Government since 1976. His experience and professionalism enable him to capture moods and situations as they occur. He is well travelled, suited to operating within highly specialized environments and places a strong emphasis on service and discretion in all client/subject interaction.
Chris has acted as official photographer to HRH Prince Philip, the Prime Minister of Canada, the President of China, three Premiers of Ontario, Canada and many other dignitaries. Corporate clients have included Ontario Hydro, American Motors, and Burson-Marsteller Public Relations (Coca-Cola Canada, Apple Canada, Owens Corning, Digital Equipment, E. D. Smith & Sons, etc.).
Today Chris delivers photography services under two service marques.
The very specialized and demanding services required by certain Business and Government needs are provided under the 'Christopher Blythe' moniker, while more informal, value-priced, photography services are provided as 'The Picture Taker.'
Chris is available for photographic assignments in the Greater Golden Horseshoe region of Ontario, Canada and may be reached via the contact link below.
Chris practised as 'The Picture Taker' throughout the 1970s and 80s in a somewhat different light -- entertainment photography -- acting for such clients as Concert Productions International, Music Shop International, The Agency and CBS Records. Subjects include: The Guess Who, Burton Cummings, Lighthouse, The Village People, The Doobie Brothers, Foreigner, Carlos Santana, Gowan and many other recording and performance artists.
Today The Picture Taker On-line delivers all-digital, small format, real-time, location photography of people, places and events via a Web-based, self service, environment. Digital photographs are captured then individually processed and uploaded to a personalized, password-protected, gallery at www.thepicturetaker.ca for viewing by password holders. Custom prints are available with just a few clicks of the mouse. Orders are quickly processed by a leading on-line photo service provider, billed and shipped directly to the ordering party.
